FAQ
When planning a Cargo Air, the contents and intended use are the main focus. As a rule, we develop the transport case from the inside out: based on the quantity, dimensions, weight and desired arrangement of the products, we determine a case size that is as compact as possible. The transport route, handling and required interior equipment are also taken into account. If specific external dimensions have already been defined, the construction can alternatively be planned based on these dimensions.
The Cargo Air offers extensive possibilities for individual technical equipment. The basic construction includes sturdy aluminium profiles, triple-riveted metal corners as well as robust latches and handles. Depending on the project, options such as metal ball corners, recessed butterfly latches and handles, lid stays, edge handles, access flaps in the lid or permanently installed internal walls can be added. The components used are selected according to the products, case size, transport route and desired handling.
The Cargo Air is available with different case surfaces: Surf, Phenol and PP honeycomb. The option selected depends on the requirements of the project. Surf is based on robust birch plywood and is available in various colours as well as custom RAL colours. Phenol features a particularly robust, break-resistant and splash-resistant surface. PP honeycomb consists of polypropylene hollow-chamber panels and is particularly suitable when the overall weight of the construction needs to be kept as low as possible. PP honeycomb is up to 60% lighter than birch wood. There are also differences when it comes to branding: Surf and PP honeycomb can be printed partially or across the full surface, while the Phenol surface cannot be printed due to its material properties.
The Cargo Air can be equipped with different mobility solutions depending on its size, contents and transport requirements. Options include a telescopic handle with corner wheels in an integrated metal housing, or larger, sturdy externally mounted wheels that are particularly suitable for more demanding transport routes and uneven surfaces. Depending on the desired handling, these wheels can be configured as fixed castors or swivel castors. This allows the mobility solution to be individually adapted to the transport route, case size and intended use. Recessed handles complement the construction and enable space-saving, transport-friendly handling.
The interior of a Cargo Air is individually adapted to the products being transported and the way they need to be secured. In addition to classic foam inserts, structural solutions can also be implemented, such as wooden constructions, permanently installed internal walls or continuous angle rails. Mounting plates can, for example, be attached to these rails, allowing devices or components to be positioned securely. Straps, removable elements or other technical installations can also be integrated on a project-specific basis. This means that not only the external case construction but also the interior is tailored to the specific transport purpose.
