Define area of application

1. For which destination do you need your suitcase?

Many types of suitcases? And you don't know how to find the right case for you? Define the future area of use: do you want to use the case for transportation, presentation, storage or shipping? With the following steps, we want to make it easy for you to understand the structure of a case and find the perfect basic model for your individual configuration.

Selection of the case series

2. Design of the case from the inside out

In line with the principle of ‘form follows function’, the suitable case series is developed first and foremost according to the subsequent use and product contents. Only then is the visual appearance decisive. For example, a very long product requires a special format solution - or a very small product can be positioned in a lightweight case model. Contact your personal Faisst consultant directly for your specific requirements.

Calculation of the base area

3. What area dimension do your product contents require?

In general, we endeavour to arrange the individual product items in a space-saving and visually appealing way to ensure an attractive product presentation. For production reasons, a minimum distance of 2 cm must be maintained between the individual recesses. The minimum case depth is 60 mm. We therefore recommend specifying the number and type of items in advance to enable a targeted design.

Calculating the case height

4. What case height is required?

We offer three cost-optimised standard case sizes in our configurator for almost every case series. However, if your product differs significantly from these sizes, a customised solution can be designed. Depending on the type of product, a decision is made as to whether it is a heavy transport product, a presentation product or a small product suitable for a compact case.

Calculation of the load capacity

5. What weight should the case be able to withstand?

The choice of case design depends primarily on the intended use and the total weight of the product contents.

Almost all case series under 25 kg, or case series with compact product contents, are suitable for this load.
Above 25 kg, the Alu Robust or Cargo Air transport cases are mainly used.
Above 40 kg, the Cargo Air transport case series is specially customised and, if necessary, reinforced.

Your personal Faisst consultant will be happy to advise you on these special requirements.

Suitcase or trolley?

6. Should the case be rollable?

Do you prefer a lightweight case for carrying or do you want to be mobile? The case series are equipped with ergonomic handles with a good grip for more comfort when carrying. Alternatively, for large or heavy product contents, we recommend choosing a trolley with a telescopic handle for easy handling. The use or subsequent product presentation will determine which castors should be integrated. Corner castors (for pulling the case), base castors (for vertical travelling) or heavy-duty rubber castors (for higher loads) are available.

Visual appearance

7. Which design should the case have?

The individual case series are each available in their own characteristic modern designs, which support a high-quality and professional presentation of your products. Each series includes square or round profiles and specially developed surfaces in various colours to match the overall appearance of the case. You can choose between lightweight plastic hard shell cases and aluminium cases ranging from compact sizes to heavy, robust series. Configure here or contact your Faisst consultant.
